London: The City That Has Something in Store for Everyone!

Boasting some of the world’s most famous art, entertainment, food, attractions, and history, you really can’t get bored in the capital city of England.

There are museums full of over 8 million valuable items, a Warner Bros. Studio where you can immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter, bridges and skylines that will make your jaw drop as you go, and most of all, a vibrant city atmosphere that you will be hard put to find somewhere else.

In today’s post, I'll take you on a tour of London. Ready? Let’s go!

I'm going to start off with the renowned heaven for history-buffs all over the world: The British Museum. Located just 1.1 miles away from the main City Centre, the British Museum hosts over 8 million artifacts for visitors to see. From the Lindow Man to the Rosetta Stone, you may very likely have to consider a return trip (or several) to view all the exhibits the wonderful location has to offer.

After visiting the Museum, please pick from the plethora of attractions, which are all located within a mile of it to continue your London City tour. 😅

In the City of Westminster, Central London, take a stroll around Trafalgar Square, the site of some of the most significant political demonstrations in London’s history. Museums, galleries, and historical buildings encircle the square, which is completed with a beautiful café in its middle.

Up for some shopping? Because Oxford Street is just the place to go! Offering 1.5 miles of the extensive shopping experience, Oxford Street remains to date one of the most prominent high streets of the world. There are over 90 flagship stores on the street, including the top-notch brands in fashion, tech, entertainment, and innovation. Over 500 different restaurants are dotted all over the road giving you plenty of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

And once you’ve shopped till you’ve dropped, it’s time for a quick trip back to the hotel. There are many good hotels in London, but there is only one Good Hotel – and I can highly recommend it. The Good Hotel has made it their mission to support their local community by offering training and jobs, and even send help abroad by donating a portion of their earnings to charities. And if that wasn’t enough, then this probably is: the entire hotel is literally afloat on the River Thames!

Don’t worry about needing sea legs because the entire hotel rests firmly in place; the rooms are effortlessly stylish, and you can look out to a view that every Londoner would love.

Once you’ve enjoyed the delicious continental breakfast from the hotel, step outside and take a ride along the Emirates Air Line. This is a cable car service stretching across the Thames River, offering both stunning views and an easy form of transport. The Emirates Royal Docks is at the eastern end of the cable line and is quite close to the Good Hotel.

Once you’re at the Docks, be sure to stop by the Airline Café and Diner as well. Located just minutes from the hotel, you can always stop by here for a hearty all-day breakfast, sandwiches, and pizza too.

London has a gazillion different attractions, and you’ll need to have quite some time to go through all of them. However, some places are simply a must-visit for first-time travelers. Stroll along the bank of the Thames and gaze in awe at the magnificence of Big Ben.

Pay your respects to the monarchy by visiting Buckingham Palace! Next, take a train to one of the most prized attractions in the city – the London Eye. Enjoy the spectacular, sprawling views of London from the top most cart… you will never forget the experience.

To finish off, no trip is fantastic without tasting the local culinary scene – squeeze a trip to Brick Lane in your itinerary and revel in the tastes of the exotic curries there! At night, sip some coffee along the Royal Victoria Bridge.
